Jinx - by Meg Cabot

AMAZING. Absolutely amazing. Just one small thing. AM WAITING FOR THE SEQUEL! This book was FANTASTIC! The storyline was perfect, the characters were great and the text was just the right size (if text in a book is too small or too big, I will immediately go off the book.)
Here is the blurb:

DOES JINX HAVE BAD LUCK - OR SPECIAL POWERS?

Misfortune has followed Jean Honeychurch all her life - which is why everyone calls her Jinx. And now her parents have shipped her off to New York to stay with relatives - including her sophisticated cousin, Tory - until the trouble she's caused back home dies down.

COULD SHE EVEN BE..........A WITCH?

Tory is far too cool to bother with Jinx - until Jinx's chronic bad luck wreaks havoc in Tory's perfect life. Only then does Jinx discover that beneath Tory's big-city glamour lies a world of hatred and revenge. Now it seems that the jinx that's driven Jean crazy may just be the only thing that can save her life.......

Suspenseful I know. I would recommend this book to people between the ages of 10-16

27 Dresses

Whoah!! I need to get in touch with the director!!! This movie was absolutely FANTASTIC. There was not one thing I could find wrong with it even if I tried. The characters were great, the songs were amazing, the storyline was the best (little bit of seriousness, little bit of L.O.V.E and a little bit of laughter) AND the settings were perfect. If I had to say one thing bad thing about it, it would be that I was really disappointed when it ended. It is mainly about this girl called Jane who is always a bridesmaid but never a bride. She has 27 bridesmaid dresses. She is also in love with her boss, but then her sister, Tess, comes to visit and she ends up getting engaged to the guy she likes (her boss). Jane is so mad she tries to break them up. Her plan works but she feels really bad. During all this Jane meets a man called Kevin who is a wedding journalist for the local paper. Jane loves his work but decides that she really doesn't like him. But Kevin is persistent and Jane soons gives in. In the end there is a marriage, a reunion of two true lovers and a heck of alot of bridesmaids.

Don't Forget the Lyrics

It's OK. I have to admit. It is OK. The only thing is that sometimes it is annoying when they take half the show just to decide whether they are going to "lock in the lyrics" or not. Another thing is that you can tell it is a very tacky show. And by tacky I mean, just another one of those singing shows that is added to the channel, to make the channel richer. But I enjoy watching it. I really enjoy when they reach any of the high prize money packages.

The Secret Garden

Well, if you're wondering The Secret Garden is a book. I have decided i am going to start reviewing books. The original Secret Garden was written by Frances Hodgson Burnett but the version i read was a new adaption by Archie Oliver. I will copy the blurb:

"Mary Lennox is an ill-tempered and spoiled little girl. When both her parents die, she is sent to live with her sad Uncle in a rambling old manor house. At first, Mary hates the manor house but in the grounds she discovers a mysterious garden that has been locked up for ten years.
Even more mysteriously, she meets Colin, a sickly boy who has been hidden from the world since the garden was locked. Mary and Colin, along with their friend Dickon, help the secret garden to come alive again.
And as the garden blooms once more, its special magic brings happiness to everyone in the unhappy old house.

I loved this book and i would recommend from ages 8-12

Tim McGraw - A Place in the Sun Album

I absolutely L.O.V.E this one. Tim McGraw is a country singer except he sings really good songs. My favourite song is "Something Like That". It is about how he meets this girl at the County Fair, and then sees her again on a plane to New Orleans. He is singing about how he remembers her and how "a heart don't forget something like that." He sings heaps of other good songs like. Senorita Margorita, Somethings Never Change, Carry On, A Place in the Sun, She'll Have you Back, The Trouble with Never and a whole lot more. He has a new album called "Let it Go", which i wouldn't mind getting.

Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium

OK I admit it i thought it was going to be a bit better than it was. But i have to say it was a GREAT movie. I got a bit teary when Mr Magorium was getting ready to die. Oops, i probably ruined the surprise. But anyway, it was really touching and it was very funny too. I thought that the actors were really good in it. Dustin Hoffman played Mr Magorium and Natalie Portman played Molly Mahoney. All the other characters were fantastic it's just i cant remember there names in real life. There was a boy, Eric, who had no friends and he also had this amazing hat collection. There was also Henry, the accountant. Everybody called him the Mutant.

Enchanted

It wasn't bad. I thought i would be giving it about a 6/10 but it suprised me and i really enjoyed it. It was a bit fairy-dairy at the beginning but that was over in a moment and then it was GREAT. Anyway if you are a boy, you will hate it but those girls out there will probably like it.
